I am Maria Gatillon, and I am an NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer. Passionate for design, I love to solve design challenges in creative ways. For me, interior design is not only about enhancing the aesthetic appeal of a space, but rather enhancing the life of the people who occupy it. My interest in architecture, art, the environment, and functionality allows me to create spaces that cater to clients’ tastes and lifestyles.
 
My admiration for interior spaces was awakened after an architectural boom in the local hospitality sector where strong design themes were used to create special and unique guest experiences.

 

After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design Degree from Marymount University in 2008, I have gained experience in residential and commercial design.

Originally from Peru, I moved to Northern Virginia in 1999. A self-proclaimed “foodie", I also enjoy dancing, crafting, painting, traveling, and spending time with my family.
